Bring generated meshes into Roblox
Meshy2Roblox
Generate textured meshes from images and prepare them for Roblox import.
Supported platforms: roblox.
What you can build
- Prepare supported Meshy GLB exports to address split-vertex faceting while preserving geometry and PBR maps. Inspect the imported result.
- Uploads group-owned, so assets actually load in a group-owned experience
- Import a .glb you downloaded yourself: no Meshy key and no Blender needed
- Generate a textured mesh from a suitable single-subject reference, then inspect geometry and import quality.
- Batch a whole folder of images in one command
- Check for an owned uploaded asset ID and report unresolved persistence risks.
- A visual check sheet: every model beside its source image
- Safe key setup: spending cap first, key pasted once, stored outside every repo
Before you start
- Blender: smooths Meshy exports so curved goods do not render as faceted shells in Roblox
- Node.js: uploads the finished asset to Roblox group-owned via cloud-kit
- Python 3: runs the Meshy API call and the mesh checks
Scope and limitations
- Free tier (needs a Meshy API key; about sixty cents per model)
- Rigged or animated results (rigid props only)
- Multi-object scenes from one image (one clear subject per image)
